People-Powered Leadership™ Workshops

The single biggest failure of leadership is treating adaptive challenges as technical problems.
— Ronald Heifetz, The Practice of Adaptive Leadership

Our foundational workshops are designed to help leaders challenge their deepest assumptions and equip them with a new leadership playbook to master an Adaptive Mindset.

Hosted by a Master Facilitator (virtually or face-to-face), these sessions are places where leaders learn to value candor, care, and curiosity while challenging each other's thinking. We also use the workshops to model the "holding environment" that you, as a leader, must create for your teams on the job.

The primary focus is to prepare leaders to effectively tackle complex issues that currently derail organizational progress.

One of the most effective approaches to navigating dynamic circumstances is to help leaders ingrain new mental models. These new mental models elevate our conversations, encourage experimentation, and increase our adaptive capacity.

What You Will Gain

You will learn to stop applying yesterday's technical fixes to today's complex, adaptive challenges. Our Workshops provide the essential tools, methodologies, and systems frameworks to diagnose systemic issues and initiate lasting change.

We provide the cognitive foundation necessary for the practical application that follows in the Action Learning Labs. Key learning areas include:

  • Diagnosing Adaptive Challenges: Differentiating between problems you can solve (technical) and problems where people must do the solving (adaptive).

  • The Power-With Commitment: Strategically redesigning the social contract.

  • Navigating Polarities: Mastering both/and thinking to manage interdependent organizational tensions.

  • Systems Frameworks: Using models like the Iceberg Systems Thinking Model to uncover root causes and the Immunity to Change (ITC) process to reveal hidden resistance.
